Spectators: 6766 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1766, VIP seats: 0) Cherry Splitters's Scotty Gregory started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Martin McClendon made an important save on a dangerous shot by Bruce Singer in the 3rd minute. In the 4th minute, Bruce Singer got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A collision led to Cherry Splitters getting a freekick after 6 minutes play. Jamal Stuart hit a great ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Rich Lawson in the 8th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Martin McClendon prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Waialua's Erik Cabrera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Scotty Gregory in the 10th minute of play. In the 12th minute of the match Alexis Atwood sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Erik Cabrera skillfully saved the ball. 19 minutes into the match, Cherry Splitters's goal looked a bit too open when Rich Lawson came free, but Martin McClendon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the Cherry Splitters defense, Rich Lawson kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Martin McClendon. The Cherry Splitters fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Martin McClendon should have stopped the shot. 26 minutes into the match, Waialua's goal looked a bit too open when Scotty Gregory came free, but Erik Cabrera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Scotty Gregory kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. Erik Cabrera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Scotty Gregory, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rich Lawson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Martin McClendon having to interfere. With his leg Martin McClendon managed to avoid a goal in the 39thth minute, when Waialua's Bruce Singer fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Rich Lawson to strike the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the game, Scotty Gregory recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Erik Cabrera. Scotty Gregory showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-1. After a rather tough play, Cherry Splitters's Jamal Stuart got a free kick in the 55th minute. If Bruce Singer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 66th minute Scotty Gregory shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Erik Cabrera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rich Lawson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Martin McClendon having to interfere. Waialua's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Scotty Gregory 71 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-3. Erik Cabrera was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Scotty Gregory showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-4 in the 75 minute of play. Martin McClendon made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rich Lawson in the 78th minute of play. Bruce Singer might have been able to make a better finish in the 79th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Martin McClendon. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Bruce Singer ran back to his position shaking his head. Rich Lawson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Martin McClendon tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Cherry Splitters's Anson Langford got a free kick in the 84th minute. In the 85th minute of the match Isaiah Cotton shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Martin McClendon showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Cherry Splitters's Scotty Gregory slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Erik Cabrera. That made the score 1-5 after 88 minutes of play. In the 90th minute, Anson Langford hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 93 minutes into the match, Cherry Splitters's goal looked a bit too open when Rich Lawson came free, but Martin McClendon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Waialua supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Cherry Splitters's performance. The match ended with a win for Cherry Splitters.
