When Bennett Phillips came up free with the goalie in the 17th minute, the Houston Rockets fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bennett Phillips couldn't finish the play. Troy Mitchell recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 19th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Houston Rockets's Troy Mitchell in the 26th minute got a chance for a shot 26th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye High Ridge AFC's goalie prevented a goal. If Berry Keith had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Troy Mitchell took the ball and in the 44 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised German Payton. German Payton dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1.

When Gerard Ransom came up free with the goalie in the 51st minute, the High Ridge AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gerard Ransom couldn't finish the play. Troy Mitchell's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 55thth minute, German Payton skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. If Troy Mitchell had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bennett Phillips fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without German Payton having to interfere. A hard shot 64 in the game by Troy Mitchell from a close distance when the talented German Payton managed to make a qualified save. High Ridge AFC's players were relieved. German Payton didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 70th minute, which inside left pole to 0-2. After having played for 76 minutes, Troy Mitchell managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Houston Rockets's supporters crossed their fingers, but Troy Mitchell was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 82nd minute Bennett Phillips shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but German Payton saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Houston Rockets's Troy Mitchell was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 83rd play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. A collision led to Houston Rockets getting a freekick after 88 minutes play. Lenny Lehman hit a great ball. German Payton made an important save on a dangerous shot by Troy Mitchell in the 91st minute. In the 92nd minute the ball was on its way in behind High Ridge AFC's goalkeeper German Payton, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar.
