Spectators: 6786 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1786, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Jim Hadley took the kick off in the first half of the match. After 9 played minutes Atherton FC got a freekick which was hit by Jerome Thomason. Weston French received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Tuan Goff tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. West Side Highway's Weston French got a good chance for a goal in the 16th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 20 minutes into the game, Jerome Thomason cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Andrew Goode was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 27 minutes into the match, Atherton FC's goal looked a bit too open when Mohammed Wiley came free, but Tuan Goff reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tuan Goff showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mohammed Wiley in the 28th minute of the match. The supporters of Atherton FC booed when West Side Highway was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Reginald Gustafson didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 37th minute of the match Dudley Carbajal shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Andrew Goode showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 37 minutes into the game, DeMarcus Brantley was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. West Side Highway's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Atherton FC the free kick. After the first half Atherton FC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Thanks to some nice moves Jerome Thomason could shoot a difficult shot in the 52nd minute, which Andrew Goode however easily saved by the left post. Omar Dupre kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. In the 61stth minute of the game Mohammed Wiley who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Atherton FC's Tuan Goff was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 64th minute, Weston French got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 71st minute, Kareem Lynch hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 75th minute, Weston French managed to get in a good position for a shot. West Side Highway's supporters rose to their feet, but Weston French was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tuan Goff breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 78 minutes into the match, Atherton FC's goal looked a bit too open when Mohammed Wiley came free, but Tuan Goff reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mohammed Wiley's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Tuan Goff read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 79th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Weston French in the 83rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Tuan Goff prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Jim Hadley fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Andrew Goode having to interfere. In the 88th minute, Weston French got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Tuan Goff showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mohammed Wiley in the 90th minute of the match. 92 minutes into the match, Mohammed Wiley notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Atherton FC's Tuan Goff. Tuan Goff was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it.
