In the 13th match minute, Spirit Lake FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alec Ashley to maneuver through the defense. The audience thought a goal was coming when Arnoldo Salgado got free with Anthony Riker in the 15th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Arnoldo Salgado sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 30th minute, Arnoldo Salgado managed to get in a good position for a shot. Bellefonte AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Arnoldo Salgado was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jamal De La Cruz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Garrett Horne in the 44th minute of the match. Blair Peters's late challenge caught a Spirit Lake FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Blair Peters helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Bellefonte AFC getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Blair Peters hit a great ball. 48 minutes had been played when some careless play by Bellefonte AFC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Garth Houser was slow to take the kick. During this time Spirit Lake FC's players had a chance to rest. After taking down the ball on Spirit Lake FC's corner Garth Houser fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Jamal De La Cruz quite easily take care of the ball.

The crowd rose to their feet as Spirit Lake FC's Garrett Horne slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Jamal De La Cruz. That made the score 3-2 after 55 minutes of play. Anthony Riker showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Shannon Velazquez, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. Jamal De La Cruz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Garrett Horne in the 63rd minute of play. Jamal De La Cruz made a fantastic save in the 65th minute, when Hal Agoos sent off a good shot on target. If Hal Agoos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jamal De La Cruz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Garrett Horne, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Hal Agoos came up free with the goalie in the 77th minute, the Spirit Lake FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hal Agoos couldn't finish the play. In the 79th minute, Arnoldo Salgado ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Anthony Riker was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-2. After 87 minutes, Giuseppe Cesario mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Bellefonte AFC and the Spirit Lake FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Spirit Lake FC booed when Bellefonte AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Giuseppe Cesario didn't get a good kick on the ball. Shannon Velazquez took the ball and in the 97 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Anthony Riker. Anthony Riker dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-3. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Bellefonte AFC had won after a very even match.
