Darryl Delaney struck a weak shot in the 9th minute. Hunter Mayfield didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Tamarac FC. Allen Carbajal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Lance Murray sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ted Galindo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Allen Carbajal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Tamarac FC's Zane Lovett got a good chance for a goal in the 31st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Hunter Mayfield stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Zane Lovett's shot from short distance in the 32nd minute. 36 minutes into the match, Rockford FC's goal looked a bit too open when Zane Lovett came free, but Hunter Mayfield reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rockford FC's Hunter Mayfield played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Darryl Delaney in the 37th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Zane Lovett kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Hunter Mayfield. That made the score 3-0 in the 39 minute of play. When Lorenzo Davis fell near the penalty area in the 44th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Tamarac FC's protests and gave Lorenzo Davis a yellow card for diving instead. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

In the 52nd minute, Lorenzo Davis ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Hunter Mayfield was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-0. With a little luck, Tamarac FC's Ted Galindo got control of the ball when Allen Carbajal tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Mario Zimmerman came up free with the goalie in the 77th minute, the Rockford FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mario Zimmerman couldn't finish the play. Tamarac FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 78th minute, when Allen Carbajal scored to the left of an out of position Ted Galindo, making the score, 4-1.
