But to his dismay, Ben Cabrera quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. After having played for 36 minutes, Gregorio Hurley managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Villa madero f.c's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gregorio Hurley was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Jacques Wagner made a fantastic save in the 39th minute, when Gregorio Hurley sent off a good shot on target.

54 minutes into the match, German Wilkerson had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Collin Allen. Villa madero f.c's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that German Wilkerson was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-4. After 56 minutes, Santiago Glenn mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Villa madero f.c and the Atletico Nacional players grew even worse after the yellow card. The crowd rose to their feet as Wilford Redd kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Collin Allen. That made the score 0-6 in the 91 minute of play. Atletico Nacional were delighted with the way they had won the match. They had held their defensive line well and made the most of their chances, to claim a victory over Villa madero f.c's much stronger midfield.
