Spectators: 7464 (Terracing: 5839, Seating: 1575, VIP seats: 50) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Gerald Heller got the match started through his kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Black Stars's zone, Pete MacDonald stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bennett Billings came out of the goal and Pete MacDonald tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Benny McRae had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Black Stars booed when RED Mountain Resort was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kenneth Gallo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Alejandro Melvin struck a weak shot in the 14th minute. Bennett Billings didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for RED Mountain Resort. Bennett Billings stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Pete MacDonald's shot from short distance in the 16th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Benny McRae in the 21st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Bennett Billings prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Bennett Billings took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pete MacDonald, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 26 minutes into the game, Gerald Heller recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Robbie Aquino. Gerald Heller showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. 30 minutes into the match, Black Stars's goal looked a bit too open when Benny McRae came free, but Bennett Billings reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 30 played minutes Black Stars got a freekick which was hit by Lee Gregory. Bennett Billings didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Pete MacDonald went, in the 41st minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. 47 minutes into the match, RED Mountain Resort's goal looked a bit too open when Bronson Barrett came free, but Robbie Aquino reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Bennett Billings made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pete MacDonald in the 53rd minute of play. 57 minutes into the match, Black Stars's Gerald Heller sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Robbie Aquino narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 59th minute, Pete MacDonald fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Bennett Billings, passed just outside the right post. 65 minutes into the match, Benny McRae had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Bennett Billings. Black Stars's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Benny McRae was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. Benny McRae sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 76th minute of the match, Alejandro Melvin tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Bennett Billings saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Robbie Aquino made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Trevor Wills in the 81st minute of play. A collision led to RED Mountain Resort getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Tom Kyle hit a great ball. Pete MacDonald received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Bennett Billings tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bennett Billings made an important save on a dangerous shot by Benny McRae in the 91st minute. After having played for 94 minutes, Pete MacDonald managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. RED Mountain Resort's supporters crossed their fingers, but Pete MacDonald was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 96 minutes into the match, Black Stars's goal looked a bit too open when Grady Hines came free, but Bennett Billings reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. RED Mountain Resort's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
