In the 20th match minute, Alianza Troy was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Randy Parrish to maneuver through the defense. Merrill Overton sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Merrill Overton in the 30th minute of play forced Alianza Troy's goalkeeper Fletcher Esposito to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Fletcher Esposito took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Harry Norris, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 56 played minutes Alianza Troy got a freekick which was hit by Eldon Coats. When Sterling Lawrence fell near the penalty area in the 58th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Manvel Argentina Soccer's protests and gave Sterling Lawrence a yellow card for diving instead. Sterling Lawrence hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Harry Norris in the 60th minute of play forced Alianza Troy's goalkeeper Fletcher Esposito to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Fletcher Esposito was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 99th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Guillermo Burroughs. Manvel Argentina Soccer's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
