The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 19thth minute of the game Donny Vela who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but IFK Osteraker's Royce Mayberry was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When Nick Duncan came up free with the goalie in the 44th minute, the Wyckoff fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nick Duncan couldn't finish the play. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The wind increased when Bronson Bannister made the kick off in the second half. When Milton Higgins came up free with the goalie in the 53rd minute, the Wyckoff fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Milton Higgins couldn't finish the play. With a little luck, IFK Osteraker's Royce Mayberry got control of the ball when Donny Vela tried to sneak it across the goal line. Despite being the better team, Wyckoff failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
