The referee showed Dexter Jeffers the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. 16 minutes into the match, Westbrook FC's goalkeeper David Barnes had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Norman Bergman. Westbrook FC's David Barnes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dexter Jeffers in the 20th minute of play. David Barnes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dexter Jeffers in the 25th minute of the match. David Barnes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dexter Jeffers, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. 32 minutes into the match, Monty McBride dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of David Barnes, 1-0. 38 minutes into the match, Westbrook FC's goalkeeper David Barnes had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jarrod Langston. In the 45th minute, Norman Bergman ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. David Barnes was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The wind increased when Jeffrey Goldberg made the kick off in the second half. A sloppy throw-in by Zack Gonzalez in the 54th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Westbrook FC's Sergio Arellano. David Barnes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Norman Bergman, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. David Barnes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Norman Bergman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 65th minute, Monty McBride hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jeffrey Goldberg scored 3-1 in the 69th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Johnathon Gallo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Jeffrey Goldberg recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 79th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some careless play in the Westbrook FC defense, Dexter Jeffers kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of David Barnes. The Westbrook FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that David Barnes should have stopped the shot. Westbrook FC's David Barnes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Norman Bergman in the 86th minute of play. In the 87th minute Norman Bergman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but David Barnes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 89th minute, Dexter Jeffers left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Mankato fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-1. 96 minutes into the game, Dexter Jeffers cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 6-1. David Barnes was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Westbrook FC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
