The supporters of Nicollet FC booed when Victory Lakes FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jayson Stephenson didn't get a good kick on the ball. Rolf Richey in the 10thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Stefan Lozano, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. A collision led to Nicollet FC getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Tomas Alonzo took the ball and in the 22 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Rodger Lim. Rodger Lim dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. King Easley sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rodger Lim showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tomas Alonzo, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. Milo Gabriel hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. When Enrique Deleon came up free with the goalie in the 34th minute, the Nicollet FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Enrique Deleon couldn't finish the play. Enrique Deleon struck a weak shot in the 37th minute. Stefan Lozano didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Nicollet FC. Victory Lakes FC's Stefan Lozano proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 40th minute of the match, managed to save Victory Lakes FC from getting a goal against them. In the 41st minute, Enrique Deleon fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Rolf Richey fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Stefan Lozano having to interfere. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Rodger Lim didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 54th minute, which inside left pole to 0-2. Enrique Deleon might have been able to make a better finish in the 83rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Stefan Lozano. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Enrique Deleon ran back to his position shaking his head. If King Easley had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 91 minutes into the match, Victory Lakes FC's goal looked a bit too open when Enrique Deleon came free, but Stefan Lozano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 92 minutes of play, Nicollet FC's Rolf Richey made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Stefan Lozano was left in no man's land by his defense there! The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Victory Lakes FC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
