The player immediately received a yellow card. A hard shot 8 in the game by Isaiah Brady from a close distance when the talented Tanner Arden managed to make a qualified save. Van Horn's players were relieved. After 16 minutes, Vern Hinds mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the High Ridge and the Van Horn players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 16th minute, Vern Hinds hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Tanner Arden stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Isaiah Brady's shot from short distance in the 25th minute. Stevie Horner struck a weak shot in the 26th minute. Clay Fisher didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Van Horn. After a defensive mix-up in Van Horn's zone, Isaiah Brady stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tanner Arden came out of the goal and Isaiah Brady tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of High Ridge booed when Van Horn was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eliseo Billings didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to High Ridge getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Emanuel Graves hit a great ball. Van Horn's Stevie Horner got a good chance for a goal in the 44th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Donnie Bauman could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 48th minute of the match, but Tanner Arden made a huge save.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Tracy Diaz made a kick off. After having played for 52 minutes, Donnie Bauman managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. High Ridge's supporters crossed their fingers, but Donnie Bauman was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Van Horn's zone, Isaiah Brady stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tanner Arden came out of the goal and Isaiah Brady tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 74th minute, Eliseo Billings hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Isaiah Brady in the 75th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Tanner Arden prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Isaiah Brady came up free with the goalie in the 82nd minute, the High Ridge fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Isaiah Brady couldn't finish the play. If Tracy Diaz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. High Ridge's Emanuel Graves got his second yellow card of the match in the 90th minute. The referee ordered Emanuel Graves off the ground. Emanuel Graves hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. When the referee blew the final whistle, High Ridge could leave the field as winners, despite Van Horn having more of the ball for most of the match.
