To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jerrod Caudill in the 36th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Wade Downey prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 39 minutes into the game, Olin Fay threw the ball into play from the sideline. Bowling Green's Christopher Root quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. In the 39th minute, Jerrod Caudill got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.
