Rhys Dimmock made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ivan Dias in the 13th minute of play. Sergey Krasinskiy could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 14th minute of the match, but Alonso Pacheco made a huge save. When the match clock showed 15 minutes, the score became 1-0 when Leonardo Lane sped through Shady Spring FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Alonso Pacheco. Alonso Pacheco made a fantastic save in the 19th minute, when Sergey Krasinskiy sent off a good shot on target. After 22 minutes of play, Zamalek FC's Leonardo Lane made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Alonso Pacheco was left in no man's land by his defense there! With his leg Alonso Pacheco managed to avoid a goal in the 26thth minute, when Zamalek FC's Sergey Krasinskiy fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Shady Spring FC's Alonso Pacheco played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leonardo Lane in the 28th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Leonardo Lane got free with Alonso Pacheco in the 30th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 32 minutes into the match, Leonardo Lane had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Alonso Pacheco. Shady Spring FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Leonardo Lane was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. The crowd rose to their feet as Sergey Krasinskiy kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Alonso Pacheco. That made the score 4-0 in the 35 minute of play. Rhys Dimmock showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rodrigo Reed, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. The supporters of Zamalek FC booed when Shady Spring FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mario Moser didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 39th minute, Leonardo Lane managed to get in a good position for a shot. Zamalek FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Leonardo Lane was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alonso Pacheco breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a defensive mix-up in Zamalek FC's zone, Reggie Braden stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rhys Dimmock came out of the goal and Reggie Braden tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 43 minutes into the game, Viktor Schukin was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Zamalek FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Shady Spring FC the free kick. The supporters of Shady Spring FC booed when Zamalek FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Viktor Schukin didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 44th minute Fitz Williams shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rhys Dimmock saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leonardo Lane in the 46th minute of play forced Shady Spring FC's goalkeeper Alonso Pacheco to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 4-0.

In the 53rdth minute of the game Leonardo Lane who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Shady Spring FC's Alonso Pacheco was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The audience was convinced that Leonardo Lane's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Alonso Pacheco was relentless in the 54th minute of the game. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Sergey Krasinskiy in the 84th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Alonso Pacheco saved Shady Spring FC from getting behind. The audience was convinced that Sergey Krasinskiy's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Alonso Pacheco was relentless in the 88th minute of the game. For all the effort they put into the match, the Shady Spring FC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Zamalek FC.
