BEST FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Elkhorn the free kick. In the 3rd match minute, BEST FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nechifor Dănănae to maneuver through the defense. In the 8th minute Marvin Hawkins shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Monte Ledford saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Earl Rutledge took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joe Dent, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 12 minutes into the match, Elkhorn's goal looked a bit too open when Bob Reagan came free, but Earl Rutledge reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Earl Rutledge made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joe Dent in the 13th minute of play. Graig Hendrickson's late challenge caught a BEST FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Graig Hendrickson helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Elkhorn's Graig Hendrickson got a free kick in the 16th minute. After 22 minutes of play, BEST FC's Stanley Gray made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Earl Rutledge was left in no man's land by his defense there! Earl Rutledge made an important save on a dangerous shot by Oswaldo Graham in the 32nd minute. Earl Rutledge was out of position in the 34 minute of play, and Tyrone Matson capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Tyrone Matson really showed his touch with that goal: 2-0. In the 37th minute, Sydney Quinones made a precise shot to the right of Monte Ledford. BEST FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. After 42 played minutes Elkhorn got a freekick which was hit by Warren Schafer. With a little luck, Elkhorn's Earl Rutledge got control of the ball when Stanley Gray tried to sneak it across the goal line. Stanley Gray could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 47th minute of the match, but Earl Rutledge made a huge save.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Stanley Gray to strike the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the match, Stanley Gray notched a goal, 3-1, to the right of Elkhorn's Earl Rutledge. Earl Rutledge was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Earl Rutledge took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joe Dent, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 56th minute Oswaldo Graham shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Earl Rutledge saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Elkhorn's Denver Duvall got a free kick in the 58th minute. Elkhorn's Earl Rutledge played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edgardo Bacon in the 64th minute of play. Earl Rutledge didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Bob Reagan went, in the 66th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-1 was the resulting score. Earl Rutledge took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Stanley Gray, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 71st minute Marvin Hawkins shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Monte Ledford saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Stanley Gray in the 72nd minute of play forced Elkhorn's goalkeeper Earl Rutledge to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Edgardo Bacon kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. When Sydney Quinones came up free with the goalie in the 76th minute, the Elkhorn fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sydney Quinones couldn't finish the play. Earl Rutledge made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Oswaldo Graham in the 77th minute of play. Marvin Hawkins fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Monte Ledford having to interfere. Earl Rutledge showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Oswaldo Graham, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. 86 minutes into the match, Elkhorn's goal looked a bit too open when Oswaldo Graham came free, but Earl Rutledge reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Marvin Hawkins got free with Monte Ledford in the 88th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Joe Dent scored 5-1 in the 95th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Earl Rutledge, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. BEST FC had played much better football throughout.
