With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jonas Cole in the 16th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Bob Hyatt saved ACC Mavericks from getting behind. 17 minutes into the match, Brooklyn SC's goalkeeper Jospeh McNally had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Nerio Lopez de Toro. The supporters of ACC Mavericks booed when Brooklyn SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ollie Mejia didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpected shot in the 24th minute by Steve Van Clynenbreugel got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Tuan Eubanks could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 27th minute of the match, but Jospeh McNally made a huge save. The referee ignored Brooklyn SC's protests and gave Sebastián Olivarez a yellow card for diving instead. Brooklyn SC were furious when Sebastián Olivarez was red carded, 46 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In a very dangerous position, a player in Brooklyn SC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 46th minute. Penalty! The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

After having played for 53 minutes, Tuan Eubanks managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. The corner led ACC Mavericks's Ahmet Çağrı Kıralp to fire away a dangerous shot which Jospeh McNally despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. For all the effort they put into the match, the Brooklyn SC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for ACC Mavericks.
