With an all-out effort, Black Knights FC's Jospeh McNally threw himself towards the right post 3 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Arturo Di Rado, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Black Knights FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Kirby Metzger in the 4th minute. Arturo Di Rado blasted a shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jospeh McNally having to make a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gerardo Beard in the 18th minute of play forced Black Knights FC's goalkeeper Stacy Daniel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A throw-in in the 19th minute of the game was made by George Potra with Ollie Mejia as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. In the 21st minute Arturo Di Rado shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jospeh McNally saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Elliot Whitley made in the 24th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Black Knights FC's Tyrone Wolff. The crowd rose to their feet as Arturo Di Rado kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Jospeh McNally. That made the score 1-1 in the 24 minute of play. Jospeh McNally made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arturo Di Rado in the 30th minute of play. George Potra made in the 33rd minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which George Potra however managed to control. Stacy Daniel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jonas Cole in the 36th minute of the match. If Arturo Di Rado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 43 minutes into the match, Brooklyn SC's Jonas Cole sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Stacy Daniel narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Gerardo Beard struck a weak shot in the 44th minute. Stacy Daniel didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Brooklyn SC. After some careless play in the Black Knights FC defense, Gerardo Beard kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Stacy Daniel. The Black Knights FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Stacy Daniel should have stopped the shot.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jonas Cole to make the kick off. Stacy Daniel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jonas Cole, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 62nd minute Gerardo Beard shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Stacy Daniel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jospeh McNally came out of the goal in the 67th minute to try and stop a shot by Black Knights FC's Arturo Di Rado. But to his dismay, Arturo Di Rado quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. Brooklyn SC made a substitution. Serginho Ramos replaced Reginald Ludwig. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gerardo Beard got free with Stacy Daniel in the 71st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 74th match minute, Brooklyn SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dwight Schrute to maneuver through the defense. Jerzy Piechna could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 76th minute of the match, but Stacy Daniel made a huge save. In the 78th minute, Brooklyn SC's Jerzy Piechna ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Stacy Daniel. Stacy Daniel yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-3. Black Knights FC's Elliot Mercado was substituted for Arturo Di Rado. 82 minutes into the match, Brooklyn SC's goal looked a bit too open when Elliot Mercado came free, but Jospeh McNally reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Black Knights FC were awarded a corner in the 83th minute after Brooklyn SC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Kirby Metzger took the corner. At last the ball reached Tyrone Wolff at the corner, ending with a kick to difficult to stop for the goalkeeper of Brooklyn SC. 3-3. Stacy Daniel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jonas Cole, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. 87 minutes into the game, Brooklyn SC's Jonas Cole nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Stacy Daniel made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-4. 92 minutes into the match, Elliot Mercado had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jospeh McNally. Brooklyn SC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Elliot Mercado was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-4. Jerzy Piechna scored 4-5 in the 95th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Stacy Daniel, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The Brooklyn SC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Brooklyn SC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
