A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Sammy Nixon scored 1-2 in the 48th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Peiter Erhardt, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The River tu grato nombre players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Mountain West FC were winning 1-2.

Montrel Belber kicked well hit freekick during the 96th minute of the match. In the 97th minute of the match Porter Mansfield sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Roy Holman skillfully saved the ball. The Mountain West FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Mountain West FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
