Tommie Bolton's long shot made the audience stand up and applaude when it rumbled by Duncan Fielden on his right side and into the goal. 15 minutes into the game it was 3-0. C. A. Independiente's Farid Mondragón played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Isidro Amos in the 19th minute of play. In the 24th minute Tommie Bolton shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Duncan Fielden saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 25 minutes into the game, Tommie Bolton cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-0. Duncan Fielden was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. C. A. Independiente's Tommie Bolton got a good chance for a goal in the 28th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lionel Cronin in the 30th minute of play forced C. A. Independiente's goalkeeper Farid Mondragón to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, Mila Doce's Duncan Fielden got control of the ball when Tommie Bolton tried to sneak it across the goal line. 35 minutes into the match, C. A. Duncan Fielden showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tommie Bolton, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. C. A. Independiente's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tommie Bolton was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Duncan Fielden made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tommie Bolton in the 45th minute of play. 47 minutes into the match, Mila Doce's goalkeeper Duncan Fielden had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Sid Chadwick. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 4-0.

54 minutes into the match, C. A. Independiente's Sid Chadwick sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Duncan Fielden narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Tommie Bolton had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tommie Bolton in the 62nd minute of play forced Mila Doce's goalkeeper Duncan Fielden to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience was convinced that Tommie Bolton's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Duncan Fielden was relentless in the 65th minute of the game. Duncan Fielden showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tommie Bolton in the 82nd minute of the match. 84 minutes into the match, Mila Doce's goal looked a bit too open when Tommie Bolton came free, but Duncan Fielden reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tommie Bolton in the 85th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Duncan Fielden prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Tommie Bolton had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 88 minutes into the match, Mila Doce's goal looked a bit too open when Tommie Bolton came free, but Duncan Fielden reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Farid Mondragón didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Noel Bullard went, in the 91st minute, to the upper right corner, 5-1 was the resulting score. C. A. Independiente were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Mila Doce for a fine match.
