Amador Elicegui started the match with the kick off. In the 6th minute, Rio Leizaur got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in San Lorenzo's zone, Rio Leizaur stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Maximo Escajedo came out of the goal and Rio Leizaur tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Lando Agustino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 28 minutes in the game, Amador Elicegui fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Paolo Senderos having to interfere. Through an outstanding action, after 30 minutes, Paolo Senderos successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Rio Leizaur kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. Amador Elicegui received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Paolo Senderos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Amador Elicegui had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Paolo Senderos made a fantastic save in the 36th minute, when Lando Agustino sent off a good shot on target. Lando Agustino took the ball and in the 39 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Paolo Senderos. Paolo Senderos dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. In the 46th minute, Lando Agustino left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The San Lorenzo fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Rio Leizaur made the kick off in the second half. San Lorenzo's Maximo Escajedo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 51st minute of the match, managed to save San Lorenzo from getting a goal against them. Paolo Senderos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Amador Elicegui in the 52nd minute of play. After some careless play in the Avant FC defense, Amador Elicegui kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Paolo Senderos. The Avant FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Paolo Senderos should have stopped the shot. Gomesano Dalmases kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. In the 71st minute, Lando Agustino made a precise shot to the right of Paolo Senderos. Avant FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 5-0. Paolo Senderos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Amador Elicegui in the 76th minute of the match. After 78 played minutes Avant FC got a freekick which was hit by Guillelme Coleira. In the 84th minute, Gomesano Dalmases hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 87th minute the ball was on its way in behind Avant FC's goalkeeper Paolo Senderos, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 93 minutes into the match, Avant FC's goal looked a bit too open when Amador Elicegui came free, but Paolo Senderos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
