Spectators: 7506 (Terracing: 5630, Seating: 1726, VIP seats: 150) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Nadir Bouteflika started the match with the kick off. After some careless play in the South Milwaukee defense, Mehdi Madjer kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Cheikha Merbah. The South Milwaukee fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Cheikha Merbah should have stopped the shot. After 5 played minutes Shinnecock Hills got a freekick which was hit by Abderraouf Belkacem. Nadir Hamouda fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kateb Meriem having to interfere. Tedj Beloufa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Nadir Hamouda in the 11th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Kateb Meriem prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Rachid Zafour's late challenge caught a Shinnecock Hills's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Rachid Zafour helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to South Milwaukee getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Rachid Zafour hit a great ball. In the 13th minute, Samir Djebar hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of South Milwaukee booed when Shinnecock Hills was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ali el Ibrahimi didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 22nd minute of the match Ali Morceli sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Cheikha Merbah skillfully saved the ball. Shinnecock Hills's Samir Bourebbou got a good chance for a goal in the 34th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 43 minutes into the game, one of Shinnecock Hills:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 45th minute there was a penalty for South Milwaukee. Samir Djebar stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Kateb Meriem. 2-1. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

Nadir Hamouda received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 51st minute. Kateb Meriem tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 53 minutes, Tedj Beloufa managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. South Milwaukee's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tedj Beloufa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 58 minutes into the match, South Milwaukee's goal looked a bit too open when Nadir Bouteflika came free, but Cheikha Merbah reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tedj Beloufa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kateb Meriem having to interfere. 67 minutes into the match, Nadir Bouteflika had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Cheikha Merbah. South Milwaukee's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Nadir Bouteflika was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2. With a little luck, South Milwaukee's Cheikha Merbah got control of the ball when Nadir Bouteflika tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nadir Bouteflika in the 72nd minute of play forced South Milwaukee's goalkeeper Cheikha Merbah to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Nadir Bouteflika had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Shinnecock Hills's Kateb Meriem played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tedj Beloufa in the 90th minute of play. Kateb Meriem took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tedj Beloufa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in South Milwaukee's zone, Mehdi Madjer stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cheikha Merbah came out of the goal and Mehdi Madjer tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a little luck, South Milwaukee's Cheikha Merbah got control of the ball when Samir Bourebbou tried to sneak it across the goal line. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
