The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. St. Bernard's Rachid Zidān played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Abd al-Asis Metref in the 34th minute of play. Mokdad Mazzid showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Khair ad-Din Khabatou, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. 37 minutes into the match, Cheb Zaoui had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Mokdad Mazzid. San Juan Capistranso AFC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Cheb Zaoui was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-0. 41 minutes into the match, Cheb Zaoui notched a goal, 6-0, to the right of San Juan Capistranso AFC's Mokdad Mazzid. Mokdad Mazzid was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 47th minute, Cheb Zaoui made a precise shot to the right of Mokdad Mazzid. San Juan Capistranso AFC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 7-0. Af the end of the first half the score was 7-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Mokdad Mazzid was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 73rd minute Khair ad-Din Khabatou shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mokdad Mazzid saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mokdad Mazzid made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cheb Zaoui in the 76th minute of play. After some careless play in the San Juan Capistranso AFC defense, Khair ad-Din Khabatou kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Mokdad Mazzid. The San Juan Capistranso AFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Mokdad Mazzid should have stopped the shot. Mokdad Mazzid breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Cheb Zaoui had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The supporters of San Juan Capistranso AFC booed when St. Bernard was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 98 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rachid Malek didn't get a good kick on the ball. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. St. Bernard had played much better football throughout.
