Guillaume Laurent Malek was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Albert Apap received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Djamel Boulmerka's late challenge caught a LEYENDAS FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. An unexpectedly hard shot by Albert Apap in the 65th minute of play forced Inter de Quito F.C.'s goalkeeper Guillaume Laurent Malek to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
