Spectators: 6718 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1718, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Clément Gibbs took the kick off in the first half of the match. Darrel Warner recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 13th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When AFC Stratford's Kraig Rossignol in the 16th minute got a chance for a shot 16th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Sturgis's goalie prevented a goal. After 18 played minutes AFC Stratford got a freekick which was hit by Alexandre Bédard. Clément Gibbs struck a weak shot in the 19th minute. Wallace McLain didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sturgis. In the 22nd minute, Clément Gibbs fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Louis Lebruns short, quick shot in the 23rdth minute got Wallace McLain to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. The audience thought a goal was coming when Louis Lebrun got free with Wallace McLain in the 28th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Kraig Rossignol might have been able to make a better finish in the 32nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Dane Rader. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Kraig Rossignol ran back to his position shaking his head. Sturgis's Dane Rader played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kraig Rossignol in the 32nd minute of play. Louis Lebrun sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sturgis's Louis Lebrun got a good chance for a goal in the 40th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Wallace McLain took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Clément Gibbs, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Darrel Warner to make the kick off. 52 minutes into the match, Sturgis's Louis Lebrun sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Wallace McLain narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Sturgis's Clément Gibbs got a good chance for a goal in the 54th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 59th match minute, AFC Stratford was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gregg Snell to maneuver through the defense. Wallace McLain showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Clément Gibbs in the 60th minute of the match. Dane Rader took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Darrel Warner, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 64th minute, Darrel Warner managed to get in a good position for a shot. AFC Stratford's supporters rose to their feet, but Darrel Warner was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dane Rader breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of AFC Stratford booed when Sturgis was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pascal Lespérance didn't get a good kick on the ball. Louis Lebrun sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Clifford Curry fell near the penalty area in the 83rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Sturgis's protests and gave Clifford Curry a yellow card for diving instead. After 83 played minutes Sturgis got a freekick which was hit by Clifford Curry. 85 minutes into the match, AFC Stratford's Corin Rivers broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Louis Lebrun's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Wallace McLain read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 92nd minute of play. In the 94th minute, Kraig Rossignol got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 95th minute, Branden Fagan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
