A wasted opportunity for Harrowby. 6 minutes into the game, Theodore Hawk was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Harrowby's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Excel the free kick. Arturo Higgins recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 9th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Harrowby's Hipolito Bowers slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Leslie Briard. That made the score 1-0 after 15 minutes of play. Excel's Leslie Briard played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Otha Peterson in the 18th minute of play. Harrowby's Johnie Frank played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arturo Higgins in the 21st minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Léon Ruel during the 24th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Excel getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Charlie Beaulac hit a great ball. Harrowby's Johnie Frank played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Damion Grayson in the 31st minute of play. Johnie Frank made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arturo Higgins in the 32nd minute of play. After 33 played minutes Harrowby got a freekick which was hit by Willis Kent. After having played for 35 minutes, Damion Grayson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Excel's supporters crossed their fingers, but Damion Grayson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Johnie Frank showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arturo Higgins in the 37th minute of the match. Hipolito Bowers recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 39th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 44th minute, Otha Peterson reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Leslie Briard. The goal made the score 2-0. After a defensive mix-up in Excel's zone, Otha Peterson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Leslie Briard came out of the goal and Otha Peterson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Otha Peterson to strike the kick off in the second half. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 52nd minute of the game. One of Excel:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Harrowby:s goal. Excel's Leslie Briard played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Otha Peterson in the 57th minute of play. Otha Peterson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Leslie Briard tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Willis Kent kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. Dylan Engel's shot from long distance in the 70th minute was not bad at all, but Harrowby's Johnie Frank knew what was happening and pushed the ball into his arms just before it hit the right post. In the 73rd minute, Britt Hobson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 74th minute, Damion Grayson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Excel's supporters rose to their feet, but Damion Grayson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Johnie Frank breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Johnie Frank made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arturo Higgins in the 78th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Otha Peterson in the 82nd minute of play forced Excel's goalkeeper Leslie Briard to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Johnie Frank showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arturo Higgins in the 84th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Damion Grayson got free with Johnie Frank in the 88th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Johnie Frank took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Arturo Higgins, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Leslie Briard took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hipolito Bowers, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
