Matthew Zepeda took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dino Albrecht, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 19th minute, Repentigny's Leif Veronneau seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Leif Veronneau the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Repentigny protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Leif Veronneau had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In a very dangerous position, a player in Repentigny fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 19th minute. Penalty! The referee gave Logiebears a penalty, 22 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Winford Hodges, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Repentigny's Matthew Zepeda. 1-1. In the 29th minute, Roderick Vaillancourt ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Matthew Zepeda was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. 35 minutes into the match, Roderick Vaillancourt had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Matthew Zepeda. Repentigny's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Roderick Vaillancourt was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-3. An unexpectedly hard shot by Noble Whitaker in the 45th minute of play forced Repentigny's goalkeeper Matthew Zepeda to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 46th minute Carmen Brooks shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Matthew Zepeda saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 48 minutes into the game, Dino Albrecht cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-4. Matthew Zepeda was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After the first half Logiebears were leading 1-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Carmen Brooks to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 54th minute, Louis Meeks hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 58th minute, Dino Albrecht left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Logiebears fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-5. 61 minutes into the game, Osvaldo Guertin was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Repentigny's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Logiebears the free kick. Ralph Desilets sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 70th minute, Ralph Desilets managed to get in a good position for a shot. Repentigny's supporters rose to their feet, but Ralph Desilets was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gerry Ballard breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Matthew Zepeda made an important save on a dangerous shot by Dino Albrecht in the 74th minute. After a rather tough play, Repentigny's Osvaldo Guertin got a free kick in the 76th minute. In the 77th minute of the match Winford Hodges sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Matthew Zepeda skillfully saved the ball. Roderick Vaillancourt kicked well hit freekick during the 81st minute of the match. Matthew Zepeda didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Dino Albrecht went, in the 84th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-6 was the resulting score. After 87 played minutes Repentigny got a freekick which was hit by Joe Poole. In the 88th minute the ball was on its way in behind Repentigny's goalkeeper Matthew Zepeda, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 90th minute Carmen Brooks shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Matthew Zepeda saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Roderick Vaillancourt could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 92nd minute of the match, but Matthew Zepeda made a huge save. Dino Albrecht could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 93rd minute of the match, but Matthew Zepeda made a huge save. In the 95th minute of the match, Carmen Brooks tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Matthew Zepeda saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ralph Desilets in the 98th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gerry Ballard saved Logiebears from getting behind. The Repentigny supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Logiebears's performance. The match ended with a win for Logiebears.
