Nova Scotias Finest's Xavier Webb played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luis Gregory in the 13th minute of play. Xavier Webb showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Patrick Kauffman, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. Isaac Nixon charged in rather forcefully in the 22nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Dane Sierra the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Dodge Rammos protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Dane Sierra had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 32nd minute of the game. One of Dodge Rammos:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Nova Scotias Finest:s goal. In the 35th minute of the match Nova Scotias Finest got a corner. Dodge Rammos's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Johnie McGill ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led Nova Scotias Finest's Johnie McGill to fire away a dangerous shot which Michel Rivière despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. The supporters of Nova Scotias Finest booed when Dodge Rammos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rolland Sutherland didn't get a good kick on the ball. Merlin Sellers's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 39thth minute, Michel Rivière skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Luis Gregory kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. After 42 played minutes, Nova Scotias Finest's Johnie McGill shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Michel Rivière came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. Merlin Sellers could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 47th minute of the match, but Michel Rivière made a huge save. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Gérard Dionne was the one to do the kick off. In the 52ndth minute of the game Isaac Nixon who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Dodge Rammos's Michel Rivière was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Michel Rivière made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gérard Dionne in the 56th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 62nd minute, Donovan Grove managed to get in a good position for a shot. Nova Scotias Finest's supporters rose to their feet, but Donovan Grove was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Michel Rivière breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Gérard Dionne took the ball and in the 63 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Michel Rivière. Michel Rivière dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. After 69 minutes, Patrick Kauffman made it 1-1 with a short kick to the right side. Nova Scotias Finest's Xavier Webb tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 73rd minute, Gérard Dionne hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Isaac Nixon in the 75th minute of play forced Dodge Rammos's goalkeeper Michel Rivière to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 76th minute, Gérard Dionne made a precise shot to the right of Michel Rivière. Dodge Rammos's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arnulfo Moyer in the 84th minute of play forced Dodge Rammos's goalkeeper Michel Rivière to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Patrick Kauffman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Xavier Webb tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Merlin Sellers in the 93rd minute of play forced Dodge Rammos's goalkeeper Michel Rivière to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. For all the effort they put into the match, the Dodge Rammos players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Nova Scotias Finest.
