CF Tétraultville's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Varennes the free kick. Seth Rhodes hit a great freekick 4 minutes into the match. In the 9thth minute of the game Maurice Odonnell who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but CF Tétraultville's Matias Villaspasa was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Matias Villaspasa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bernardo Goudreau in the 18th minute of play. Gilberto Boone made an important save on a dangerous shot by Man Holliday in the 21st minute. After a rather tough play, Varennes's Ward Houde got a free kick in the 22nd minute. The supporters of Varennes booed when CF Tétraultville was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Wilmer Steiner didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 26th minute, Bernardo Goudreau made a precise shot to the right of Matias Villaspasa. CF Tétraultville's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Damien Castillo in the 38th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gilberto Boone saved Varennes from getting behind. In the 44th minute Damien Castillo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gilberto Boone saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Man Holliday received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Gilberto Boone tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After the first half Varennes were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Bernardo Goudreau to make the kick off. Gilberto Boone showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Man Holliday in the 54th minute of the match. Matias Villaspasa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Seth Luke in the 59th minute of play. 65 minutes had been played when some careless play by CF Tétraultville's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Théophile Berger was slow to take the kick. During this time Varennes's players had a chance to rest. Damien Castillo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 73 minutes into the match, CF Tétraultville's goal looked a bit too open when Titus Pineda came free, but Matias Villaspasa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Matias Villaspasa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Maurice Odonnell in the 79th minute of play. Maurice Odonnell's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Matias Villaspasa firmly grabbed it by the left post. If Man Holliday had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Maurice Odonnell got free with Matias Villaspasa in the 88th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Varennes were awarded a corner in the 90th minute after CF Tétraultville's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Théophile Berger took the corner. Maurice Odonnell fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Matias Villaspasa having to interfere. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
