Jake Kitchen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wendell Petit in the 13th minute of the match. 27 minutes into the match, Varennes's goal looked a bit too open when Earle Hollis came free, but Gilberto Boone reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 30th match minute, Moose FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gino Noel to maneuver through the defense. After some careless play in the Moose FC defense, Bernardo Goudreau kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jake Kitchen. The Moose FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jake Kitchen should have stopped the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bernardo Goudreau in the 40th minute of play forced Moose FC's goalkeeper Jake Kitchen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience was convinced that Bernardo Goudreau's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jake Kitchen was relentless in the 42nd minute of the game.
