Armando Loi hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. 15 minutes into the match, Quebec city FC's goal looked a bit too open when Bernard Dumont came free, but Alexis Routhier reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Aubrey Lagueux made a fantastic save in the 17th minute, when Armando Loi sent off a good shot on target. Johnson Kay's late challenge caught a MC Guard AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Johnson Kay helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Quebec city FC booed when MC Guard AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Shannon Martineau didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 22nd minute, Bernard Dumont hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 23 played minutes MC Guard AFC got a freekick which was hit by Seth Cotton. When the match had gone on for 24 minutes, Armando Loi took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Aubrey Lagueux to make any attempt to save it. After 27 minutes of play, Quebec city FC's Armando Loi made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Aubrey Lagueux was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 30th match minute, Quebec city FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Évariste Shannon to maneuver through the defense. Aubrey Lagueux showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Armando Loi in the 34th minute of the match. Aubrey Lagueux took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Armando Loi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 37th minute, Johnson Kay got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 38th minute, Brian Vela hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 39 minutes into the match, MC Guard AFC's goalkeeper Aubrey Lagueux had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Armando Loi. After 41 played minutes, MC Guard AFC's Bernard Dumont shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Alexis Routhier came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in MC Guard AFC reached it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Florian Rukszcz in the 44th minute of play forced MC Guard AFC's goalkeeper Aubrey Lagueux to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Gabriel Iancu was the one to do the kick off. With his leg Alexis Routhier managed to avoid a goal in the 51stth minute, when MC Guard AFC's Gabriel Iancu fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Seth Cotton kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. In the 81st minute, Ismael Frey hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Quebec city FC booed when MC Guard AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Seth Cotton didn't get a good kick on the ball.
