Santana Armada was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 23rd minute Wágner Recife shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Junior Zoff saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Santana Armada made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Antonio Macchia in the 26th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Remond Oosterveld in the 27th minute of play forced Vancouver Reds's goalkeeper Santana Armada to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Santana Armada made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Antonio Macchia in the 34th minute of play. Vancouver Reds's Santana Armada proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 36th minute of the match, managed to save Vancouver Reds from getting a goal against them. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.

Vancouver Reds's Roberto Perfumo was substituted for Louie Mulford. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Antonio Macchia to make the kick off. The supporters of KARA ☪ KARTAL booed when Vancouver Reds was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Salvador Tate didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 67th minute Saverio Niva shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Junior Zoff saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 69th minute, Cameron Leary reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Junior Zoff. The goal made the score 4-1. Vancouver Reds's Santana Armada played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jefferey Cox in the 85th minute of play. Santana Armada showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Remond Oosterveld, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. KARA ☪ KARTAL's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
