Spectators: 9299 (Terracing: 6976, Seating: 2138, VIP seats: 185) An unexpectedly hard shot by Johnie Loiselle in the 5th minute of play forced Vancouver Reds's goalkeeper Santana Armada to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The corner led DOE FC's Tyler Bowser to fire away a dangerous shot which Santana Armada despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Santana Armada made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Antwan Gallagher in the 9th minute of play. Marquis Frank's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Santana Armada read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 11th minute of play. In the 12th minute, Wágner Recife ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Kirk Lafond was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. DOE FC's Kirk Lafond played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Saverio Niva in the 17th minute of play. Kirk Lafond made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wágner Recife in the 18th minute of play. In the 21st minute of the match, Wágner Recife tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Kirk Lafond saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. With a little luck, DOE FC's Kirk Lafond got control of the ball when Wágner Recife tried to sneak it across the goal line. DOE FC's Kirk Lafond played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wágner Recife in the 26th minute of play. 26 minutes into the game, Wágner Recife cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Kirk Lafond was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Vancouver Reds were awarded a corner in the 33th minute after DOE FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Cameron Leary took the corner. After taking down the ball on Vancouver Reds's corner Cameron Leary fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Kirk Lafond quite easily take care of the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Wágner Recife got free with Kirk Lafond in the 34th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 36th minute the ball was on its way in behind DOE FC's goalkeeper Kirk Lafond, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 40 minutes into the game, Yann McKinney threw the ball into play from the sideline. Vancouver Reds's Cameron Leary quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. 46 minutes into the match, Vancouver Reds's goal looked a bit too open when David Brochu came free, but Santana Armada reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cameron Leary's late challenge caught a DOE FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Cameron Leary helped the player get up and apologised. Cameron Leary hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Antwan Gallagher to strike the kick off in the second half. Kirk Lafond showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wágner Recife, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. DOE FC's Kirk Lafond played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wágner Recife in the 57th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Wágner Recife in the 59th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Kirk Lafond prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 60th minute Vancouver Reds were awarded a corner. Cameron Leary went to the cornerflag to take it. Eugène Jetté made a great header on Vancouver Reds's corner, it was just that DOE FC's Kirk Lafond managed to reach the ball for a save. Kirk Lafond made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wágner Recife in the 62nd minute of play. Roger Kohn charged in rather forcefully in the 64th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Roger Kohn the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of DOE FC booed when Vancouver Reds was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Roger Kohn didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Antwan Gallagher had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Saverio Niva might have been able to make a better finish in the 68th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Kirk Lafond. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Saverio Niva ran back to his position shaking his head. After 68 minutes, Wágner Recife made it 3-0 with a short kick to the right side. DOE FC's Kirk Lafond tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Kirk Lafond showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wágner Recife in the 72nd minute of the match. Kirk Lafond stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Wágner Recife's shot from short distance in the 75th minute. The supporters of DOE FC booed when Vancouver Reds was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eugène Jetté didn't get a good kick on the ball. Vancouver Reds's Róbson Queirós got a good chance for a goal in the 81st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. DOE FC's Kirk Lafond played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Saverio Niva in the 83rd minute of play. 84 minutes into the match, Róbson Queirós had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Kirk Lafond. DOE FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Róbson Queirós was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-0. In the 88th minute Wágner Recife shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kirk Lafond saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Antwan Gallagher struck a weak shot in the 91st minute. Santana Armada didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for DOE FC. After some fancy dribbling in the 96th minute, Saverio Niva managed to get in a good position for a shot. Vancouver Reds's supporters rose to their feet, but Saverio Niva was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Kirk Lafond breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Vancouver Reds's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
