The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Eugenio Ross kicked well hit freekick during the 5th minute of the match. János Gerencsér made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ilgaz Şirvan in the 10th minute of play. Daron Keen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. SK8 4 lif3's János Gerencsér played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ilgaz Şirvan in the 14th minute of play. 15 minutes into the match, SK8 4 lif3's goal looked a bit too open when Ilgaz Şirvan came free, but János Gerencsér reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Wilber Leon sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 21 played minutes, SK8 4 lif3's Sidney Aupry shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Abel Bueno came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in SK8 4 lif3 reached it. When Eugenio Ross fell near the penalty area in the 22nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Qikiqtarjuaq FC's protests and gave Eugenio Ross a yellow card for diving instead. After 23 played minutes Qikiqtarjuaq FC got a freekick which was hit by Eugenio Ross. Abel Bueno made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Manga Joó in the 24th minute of play. János Gerencsér took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Terrence Arthur, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Waldemar Dias received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Abel Bueno tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of SK8 4 lif3 booed when Qikiqtarjuaq FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Chong Sheppard didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gino Norbert in the 33rd minute of play forced Qikiqtarjuaq FC's goalkeeper Abel Bueno to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the SK8 4 lif3 defense, Ilgaz Şirvan kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of János Gerencsér. The SK8 4 lif3 fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that János Gerencsér should have stopped the shot. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gino Norbert in the 38th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Abel Bueno saved Qikiqtarjuaq FC from getting behind. Abel Bueno took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gino Norbert, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a little luck, SK8 4 lif3's János Gerencsér got control of the ball when Daron Keen tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 45th minute Qikiqtarjuaq FC were awarded a corner. Daron Keen went to the cornerflag to take it. Qikiqtarjuaq FC's Daron Keen was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but János Gerencsér in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. After a defensive mix-up in SK8 4 lif3's zone, Ilgaz Şirvan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. János Gerencsér came out of the goal and Ilgaz Şirvan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 49th minute, Qikiqtarjuaq FC's Ilgaz Şirvan dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-0. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ilgaz Şirvan to make the kick off. Olin Munster got a throw-in 54 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Quinton Marcheterre. SK8 4 lif3's János Gerencsér played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ilgaz Şirvan in the 60th minute of play. If Quinton Marcheterre had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 67 minutes, Oihenarte Pimentel managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SK8 4 lif3's supporters crossed their fingers, but Oihenarte Pimentel was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 68th minute, Eugenio Ross hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. SK8 4 lif3's Jesus Mattson was substituted for Manga Joó. SK8 4 lif3's Ranolfo Redondo was substituted for Gino Norbert. In the 69th match minute, Qikiqtarjuaq FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eugenio Ross to maneuver through the defense. Waldemar Dias hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. Ranolfo Redondo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 78th minute of the match, but Abel Bueno made a huge save. Qikiqtarjuaq FC's Eugenio Ross quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Jamaal Hill, made in the 79th minute of the game. In the 84th minute of the match SK8 4 lif3 got a corner. Qikiqtarjuaq FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Oihenarte Pimentel ran over to the corner to take the kick. In the 85th match minute, Qikiqtarjuaq FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Wilber Leon to maneuver through the defense. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ranolfo Redondo got free with Abel Bueno in the 86th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Ranolfo Redondo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 89th minute of the match, but Abel Bueno made a huge save. János Gerencsér took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Terrence Arthur, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Qikiqtarjuaq FC's Abel Bueno played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jesus Mattson in the 94th minute of play. 96 minutes into the game, SK8 4 lif3's Jesus Mattson nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Abel Bueno made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-1. SK8 4 lif3's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
