Theron Dooley made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Diego Lopes in the 8th minute of play. In the 10thth minute of the game Mårten Arenstedt who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Flames FC's Tao Xi was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 11th match minute, Flames FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alican İçten to maneuver through the defense. Tao Xi didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Mårten Arenstedt went, in the 12th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. In the 16th minute, Diego Lopes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 18th minute Alican İçten shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Theron Dooley saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice moves Diego Lopes could shoot a difficult shot in the 30th minute, which Theron Dooley however easily saved by the left post. When Chauncey Veilleux came up free with the goalie in the 33rd minute, the NDG Fury FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Chauncey Veilleux couldn't finish the play. Mårten Arenstedt's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Tao Xi read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 40th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Diego Lopes got free with Theron Dooley in the 43rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Diego Lopes stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the match, Flames FC's goalkeeper Tao Xi had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Mårten Arenstedt. Flames FC's Tao Xi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mårten Arenstedt in the 56th minute of play. 57 minutes into the game, Mårten Arenstedt cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-2. Tao Xi was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 62nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Flames FC's goalkeeper Tao Xi, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. A well-hit corner resulted in Ómar Sharif heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. Flames FC's Tao Xi proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 67th minute of the match, managed to save Flames FC from getting a goal against them. In the 68th minute the ball was on its way in behind Flames FC's goalkeeper Tao Xi, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 72 minutes into the match, Flames FC's goal looked a bit too open when Mårten Arenstedt came free, but Tao Xi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 77th minute, Mårten Arenstedt reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Tao Xi. The goal made the score 2-3. NDG Fury FC's Jimeno Barea was substituted for Telesphore Diamond. Flames FC made a substitution. Amat Mata replaced Christian Pimenta. Tao Xi made a fantastic save in the 83rd minute, when Mårten Arenstedt sent off a good shot on target. Tao Xi made an important save on a dangerous shot by Mårten Arenstedt in the 85th minute. After 87 played minutes Flames FC got a freekick which was hit by Amat Mata. 93 minutes into the game, Ómar Sharif was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. NDG Fury FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Flames FC the free kick. Ómar Sharif hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match. David Berkowitz took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 94th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Theron Dooley. NDG Fury FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched NDG Fury FC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
