The corner led Sport Lisboa e Benfica's Du Lei Bin to fire away a dangerous shot which Theron Dooley despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Theron Dooley made an important save on a dangerous shot by Emilian Zgabei in the 9th minute. Theron Dooley showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Emilian Zgabei, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. Herb Good made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ómar Sharif in the 13th minute of play. A collision led to Sport Lisboa e Benfica getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Du Lei Bin hit a great ball. 19 minutes into the match, NDG Fury FC's goal looked a bit too open when Emilian Zgabei came free, but Theron Dooley reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Theron Dooley made a fantastic save in the 21st minute, when Emilian Zgabei sent off a good shot on target. In the 23rd minute, Emilian Zgabei ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Theron Dooley was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Ómar Sharif sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Herb Good took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ómar Sharif, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Ómar Sharif had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 33rd minute Emilian Zgabei shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Theron Dooley saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Theron Dooley made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emilian Zgabei in the 33rd minute of play. 35 minutes into the match, NDG Fury FC's goalkeeper Theron Dooley had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Emilian Zgabei. Theron Dooley didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Emilian Zgabei went, in the 35th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. With a little luck, NDG Fury FC's Theron Dooley got control of the ball when Emilian Zgabei tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 46th minute Mårten Arenstedt shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Herb Good saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Mårten Arenstedt in the 47th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Herb Good saved Sport Lisboa e Benfica from getting behind. The corner led to NDG Fury FC's Mårten Arenstedt getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Emilian Zgabei to make the kick off. NDG Fury FC's Theron Dooley played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Emilian Zgabei in the 58th minute of play. Theron Dooley didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Emilian Zgabei went, in the 63rd minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. Emilian Zgabei struck a weak shot in the 70th minute. Theron Dooley didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sport Lisboa e Benfica. NDG Fury FC made a substitution. Benjamin Davies replaced Chauncey Veilleux. Emilian Zgabei's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Theron Dooley read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 77th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Emilian Zgabei in the 89th minute of play forced NDG Fury FC's goalkeeper Theron Dooley to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Theron Dooley showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Emilian Zgabei in the 91st minute of the match. 92 minutes had been played when some careless play by NDG Fury FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Du Lei Bin was slow to take the kick. During this time Sport Lisboa e Benfica's players had a chance to rest. Du Lei Bin made a great header on Sport Lisboa e Benfica's corner, it was just that NDG Fury FC's Theron Dooley managed to reach the ball for a save. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Sport Lisboa e Benfica had played much better football throughout.
