Cesaro Somalo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zilar Varas having to interfere. If Cesaro Somalo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Zilar Varas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cesaro Somalo in the 23rd minute of the match. When Derwin Oberto came up free with the goalie in the 25th minute, the Club Atletico Peñarol fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Derwin Oberto couldn't finish the play. If Cesaro Somalo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cesaro Somalo in the 41st minute of play forced Aguirre AFC's goalkeeper Zilar Varas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
