Theodore Bengolea didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Gian-Carlo Lloreda went, in the 7th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. The Once Vacas fans' excitement grew in the 11th match minute when Once Vacas's Joseba Villagra looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cesario Angeles in the 16th minute of play forced Once Vacas's goalkeeper Bruno Blas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Once Vacas's Costin Cara was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 19th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. 24 minutes into the match, Costin Cara dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Theodore Bengolea, 4-0. After a rather tough play, Yaguari FC's Fliz Siruendo got a free kick in the 27th minute. Costin Cara succeeded in the game's 29th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 5-0. Theodore Bengolea showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Costin Cara in the 32nd minute of the match. After having played for 36 minutes, Joseba Villagra managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Once Vacas's supporters crossed their fingers, but Joseba Villagra was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Roberto Guereña received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Theodore Bengolea tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Costin Cara fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Theodore Bengolea having to interfere. A collision led to Yaguari FC getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Maximo Barriga hit a great ball. If Joseba Villagra had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 5-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Cesario Angeles made a kick off. Roberto Guereña sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Cesario Angeles charged in rather forcefully in the 56th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Cesario Angeles the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Cesario Angeles kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. After some careless play in the Yaguari FC defense, Joseba Villagra kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Theodore Bengolea. The Yaguari FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Theodore Bengolea should have stopped the shot. If Joseba Villagra had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Costin Cara struck a weak shot in the 62nd minute. Theodore Bengolea didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Once Vacas. After a defensive mix-up in Yaguari FC's zone, Costin Cara stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Theodore Bengolea came out of the goal and Costin Cara tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Costin Cara in the 66th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Theodore Bengolea prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The audience was convinced that Joseba Villagra's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Theodore Bengolea was relentless in the 68th minute of the game. Theodore Bengolea showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Costin Cara, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. 74 minutes into the game, Costin Cara cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 7-0. Theodore Bengolea was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 81 minutes into the game, Once Vacas's Costin Cara nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Theodore Bengolea made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 8-0. Costin Cara fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Theodore Bengolea having to interfere. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Once Vacas fully deserved thier win.
