Las Piedras F.C's Emil Pleban proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 14th minute of the match, managed to save Las Piedras F.C from getting a goal against them. After 15 played minutes Volveremos a la brevedad got a freekick which was hit by Olivar Simon. Emil Pleban made an important save on a dangerous shot by Felix Aya in the 23rd minute. 24 minutes into the match, Las Piedras F.C's goal looked a bit too open when Charro Pizaño came free, but Emil Pleban reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 25th minute, Volveremos a la brevedad's Olivar Simon ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Emil Pleban. Emil Pleban yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-1. Olaf Ragnarsson scored 1-2 in the 28th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Gervaso Cadiñanos, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Roman Villamil sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Las Piedras F.C booed when Volveremos a la brevedad was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Firme Alfaro didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 37th minute, Lucas Beltrán got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 41st minute Charro Pizaño shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Emil Pleban saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Lucas Beltrán sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Charro Pizaño to make the kick off. The crowd rose to their feet as Las Piedras F.C's Lucas Beltrán slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Gervaso Cadiñanos. That made the score 1-3 after 58 minutes of play. 62 minutes into the game, Olaf Ragnarsson recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Gervaso Cadiñanos. Olaf Ragnarsson showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-4. In the 65th minute Olivar Simon suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. When James Kipkoech fell near the penalty area in the 65th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Las Piedras F.C's protests and gave James Kipkoech a yellow card for diving instead. Volveremos a la brevedad's Gervaso Cadiñanos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lucas Beltrán in the 70th minute of play. If Barros Albar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Firme Alfaro kicked well hit freekick during the 81st minute of the match. 83 minutes into the match, Olaf Ragnarsson notched a goal, 1-5, to the right of Volveremos a la brevedad's Gervaso Cadiñanos. Gervaso Cadiñanos was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Charro Pizaño sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Las Piedras F.C players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
