After 8 minutes Deportivo Peñarol FIFV's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Maxin Oces who took care of the corner kick. A nice corner shot did that Maxin Oces got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Petru Nisporeanu quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 11th minute Johan Kiewit shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Petru Nisporeanu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Deportivo Peñarol FIFV's Petru Nisporeanu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Johan Kiewit in the 15th minute of play. Johan Kiewit blasted a shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Petru Nisporeanu having to make a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mauricio Guadalupe in the 39th minute of play forced Vanadio F.C.'s goalkeeper Paulin Sequeiros to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Llope Ojeda fell near the penalty area in the 40th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Deportivo Peñarol FIFV's protests and gave Llope Ojeda a yellow card for diving instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Johan Kiewit in the 46th minute of play forced Deportivo Peñarol FIFV's goalkeeper Petru Nisporeanu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Sanson Villasinda stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Deportivo Peñarol FIFV's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Vanadio F.C. the free kick. Petru Nisporeanu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gordon Suarez in the 77th minute of the match. After 82nd play minutes Mauricio Guadalupe shot 1-1, a short shot which went by Paulin Sequeiros and just under the crossbar into goal.
