An unexpectedly hard shot by Ezequiel Alonso in the 13th minute of play forced Carqueja's goalkeeper Lars Batzer to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 14th minute Rupert Vadgaard shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lars Batzer saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 36thth minute of the game Luis Elequemedo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Carqueja's Lars Batzer was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 40 minutes into the match, Club Gardel's goalkeeper Lorien Tros had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Elizardo Massana. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Juan-Alfredo Solares in the 53rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Lorien Tros saved Club Gardel from getting behind. The audience was convinced that Ezequiel Alonso's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Lars Batzer was relentless in the 61st minute of the game. After 66 played minutes Club Gardel got a freekick which was hit by Isaias Primo. Lars Batzer made an important save on a dangerous shot by Xinto Carreiras in the 69th minute. Club Gardel's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because Carqueja had won, even though Club Gardel had held more of the ball.
