The supporters of Playa Malvín booed when Club Dep. Soc. Rodo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gasteiz Latorre didn't get a good kick on the ball. Zuberoa Artiaga kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. Zé Roberto Teixeira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gasteiz Latorre in the 18th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Club Dep. Soc. Rodo's zone, Fred Åkerström stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jeremy Avellana came out of the goal and Fred Åkerström tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Fred Åkerström sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Jeremy Avellana made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fred Åkerström in the 32nd minute of play. When Sandu Mândrilă came up free with the goalie in the 35th minute, the Playa Malvín fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sandu Mândrilă couldn't finish the play. The crowd rose to their feet as Playa Malvín's Fred Åkerström slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Jeremy Avellana. That made the score 1-0 after 37 minutes of play. After 46 played minutes Club Dep. Soc. Rodo got a freekick which was hit by Guto Pirani. Sandu Mândrilă could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 47th minute of the match, but Jeremy Avellana made a huge save. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Playa Malvín's Zuberoa Artiaga managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Danilo Mendonça in the 53 minute of the game. 56 minutes into the match, Club Dep. Soc. Rodo's goal looked a bit too open when Fred Åkerström came free, but Jeremy Avellana reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 62nd minute of the match Club Dep. Soc. Rodo got a corner. Playa Malvín's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Guto Pirani ran over to the corner to take the kick. After taking down the ball on Club Dep. Soc. Rodo's corner Guto Pirani fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Zé Roberto Teixeira quite easily take care of the ball. Gonzalo Castro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Playa Malvín's Niva Espellosa was substituted for Fred Åkerström. 81 minutes into the match, Playa Malvín's goal looked a bit too open when Anthon Öberg came free, but Zé Roberto Teixeira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jeremy Avellana showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Niva Espellosa in the 87th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Niva Espellosa in the 90th minute of play forced Club Dep. Soc. Rodo's goalkeeper Jeremy Avellana to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
