Cristóbal Caballero charged in rather forcefully in the 21st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Cristóbal Caballero the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 21st match minute, CF Nacional was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cristóbal Caballero to maneuver through the defense. In the 26th minute, Regino Urruticoechea hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Araucampeón Retirado getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Lolo Bolivar hit a great ball. Adriel Mascayo's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Bernardino Barria firmly grabbed it by the left post. 39 minutes into the match, CF Nacional's goalkeeper Bernardino Barria had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Adriel Mascayo. In the 44th minute of the match, Adriel Mascayo got a very nice opportunity to score, but Bernardino Barria was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. After having played for 45 minutes, Cristóbal Caballero managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. CF Nacional's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cristóbal Caballero was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The Araucampeón Retirado players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. CF Nacional were winning 0-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Hipolito Manso de Velasco made a kick off. If Enzo Anders had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 66th match minute, Araucampeón Retirado was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lolo Ibarguen to maneuver through the defense. 69 minutes into the game, Enzo Anders recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Calixto Tejo. Enzo Anders showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-2. After some fancy dribbling in the 72nd minute, Enzo Anders managed to get in a good position for a shot. CF Nacional's supporters rose to their feet, but Enzo Anders was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Calixto Tejo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Enzo Anders received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Calixto Tejo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Calixto Tejo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Regino Urruticoechea in the 81st minute. After 83 played minutes Araucampeón Retirado got a freekick which was hit by Ysidro Olivares. After 91 played minutes Araucampeón Retirado got a freekick which was hit by Fabricio Marmolejo. After a rather tough play, CF Nacional's Enzo Anders got a free kick in the 94th minute. The Araucampeón Retirado supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching CF Nacional's performance. The match ended with a win for CF Nacional.
