Ni Zhen Feng sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With an all-out effort, Baez FC's Ilkka Markkula threw himself towards the right post 19 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Thalis Papazisis, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Baez FC were awarded a corner in the 26th minute after Club Deportes Santa Cruz's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Ruperto Ralondo took the corner. Baez FC's Ruperto Ralondo was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Ilkka Markkula in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ni Zhen Feng got free with Ilkka Markkula in the 37th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Baez FC's Thalis Papazisis got a good chance for a goal in the 38th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ilkka Markkula showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Thalis Papazisis, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute.

Club Deportes Santa Cruz's Jacinto Gebhard was substituted for Podador Raheiro. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Raimundo Tupper stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute, Thalis Papazisis got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ilkka Markkula showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Thalis Papazisis in the 56th minute of the match. 57 minutes into the match, Thalis Papazisis notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Club Deportes Santa Cruz's Ilkka Markkula. But to his dismay, Ni Zhen Feng quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. Horacio Jesus Carvallo made a fantastic save in the 74th minute, when Raimundo Tupper sent off a good shot on target. When the match had gone on for 85 minutes, Bairon Mateluna put it in 2-1 from a short distance just to the right of Horacio Jesus Carvallo. Ilkka Markkula showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ni Zhen Feng in the 88th minute of the match. Ni Zhen Feng sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 95 minutes, Zhuo Jing Zheng mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Club Deportes Santa Cruz and the Baez FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. There was no doubt that Baez FC were the better team. Baez FC's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
