Spectators: 6655 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1655, VIP seats: 0) David Cardoso started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Cristian Leal hit a great freekick 4 minutes into the match. 12 minutes into the match, David Cardoso notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Jardineiro's Ronaldo de Azevedo. Ronaldo de Azevedo was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Jardineiro's João Chaves got a good chance for a goal in the 16th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 20th minute, Benicio Nuno hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 23 minutes into the game, Ciro Xavier was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Jardineiro's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Brusque the free kick. After 23 played minutes Jardineiro got a freekick which was hit by Ciro Xavier. Ronaldo de Azevedo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Denílson Moraes in the 24th minute of play. Ciro Xavier kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. Brusque's Denílson Moraes got a good chance for a goal in the 26th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. João Chaves received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Vladimir Cruz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Benicio Nuno had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Denílson Moraes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 41st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Samuel Loureiro made a kick off. In a very dangerous position, a player in Brusque fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 55th minute. Penalty! In the 56th minute there was a penalty for Jardineiro. João Chaves stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Vladimir Cruz. 1-1. With a little luck, Jardineiro's Ronaldo de Azevedo got control of the ball when Denílson Moraes tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 63rd match minute, Brusque was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Evandro Veloso to maneuver through the defense. In the 65th minute, Juninho Bittencourt hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The Brusque fans' excitement grew in the 68th match minute when Brusque's Evandro Veloso looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 73rd minute David Cardoso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ronaldo de Azevedo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Denílson Moraes got free with Ronaldo de Azevedo in the 83rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. João Chaves's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Vladimir Cruz read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 85th minute of play. Ronaldo de Azevedo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Denílson Moraes in the 88th minute. Gutierrez Dorrego sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gutierrez Dorrego received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Vladimir Cruz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
