Dedé Mangueira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 28 minutes into the match, Urycuca's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Gerber came free, but Giovanni Recife reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Daniel Gerber had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Jairo Figueiredo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The supporters of Urycuca booed when SAGATYBA F.C was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Narciso Quintal didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Urycuca's Luís Fábio Cavalcante got a free kick in the 42nd minute. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Dedê Gaúcho to strike the kick off in the second half. 55 minutes into the match, Jairo Figueiredo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Giovanni Recife. Urycuca's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jairo Figueiredo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. 59 minutes into the match, SAGATYBA F.C's Jairo Figueiredo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Giovanni Recife narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 62nd minute, Jairo Figueiredo managed to get in a good position for a shot. SAGATYBA F.C's supporters rose to their feet, but Jairo Figueiredo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Giovanni Recife breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bruno Rangel in the 67th minute of play forced Urycuca's goalkeeper Giovanni Recife to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dedé Mangueira made a fantastic save in the 70th minute, when Luís Fábio Cavalcante sent off a good shot on target. The supporters of SAGATYBA F.C booed when Urycuca was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. João Paulo Amaral didn't get a good kick on the ball. Bruno Rangel might have been able to make a better finish in the 75th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Giovanni Recife. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Bruno Rangel ran back to his position shaking his head. When the match clock showed 83 minutes, the score became 4-0 when Jairo Figueiredo sped through Urycuca's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Giovanni Recife. SAGATYBA F.C's Bruno Rangel got a good chance for a goal in the 88th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 96 minutes into the match, Urycuca's goal looked a bit too open when Jairo Figueiredo came free, but Giovanni Recife reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the referee ended the match the SAGATYBA F.C players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
