After 7 played minutes Rosaria got a freekick which was hit by Lenílson Aguiar. After a defensive mix-up in Rosaria's zone, Adhemar Figueiredo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tião Simões came out of the goal and Adhemar Figueiredo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 13 played minutes Rosaria got a freekick which was hit by Arí Baptista. After recieving a nice pass, Villa Verde FC's Manuel Dantas tried to score from far away in the 14th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Jonathan Queirós hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 17th minute, Arí Baptista managed to get in a good position for a shot. Rosaria's supporters rose to their feet, but Arí Baptista was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Daniel Costa breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Daniel Costa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cafu Barbosa, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. If Enéas Bezerra had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jardel Correia could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 27th minute of the match, but Tião Simões made a huge save. After 29 played minutes Villa Verde FC got a freekick which was hit by Adhemar Figueiredo. Cafu Barbosa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Daniel Costa having to interfere. Villa Verde FC's Daniel Costa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cafu Barbosa in the 48th minute of play.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Adhemar Figueiredo made a kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Rosaria's zone, Lino Guerra stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tião Simões came out of the goal and Lino Guerra tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Adhemar Figueiredo came up free with the goalie in the 59th minute, the Villa Verde FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Adhemar Figueiredo couldn't finish the play. Jardel Correia recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 66th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Cafu Barbosa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Daniel Costa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Daniel Costa stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Cafu Barbosa's shot from short distance in the 82nd minute. Enéas Bezerra received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Daniel Costa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
