Spectators: 7135 (Terracing: 5353, Seating: 1641, VIP seats: 141) Gil Camargo started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. LionHeartsSC's Enio Ceresso got a good chance for a goal in the 6th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 13th minute, Enio Ceresso got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Enio Ceresso recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 15th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 19 minutes into the match, STAR FC's goal looked a bit too open when Dalmo Valladares came free, but Manuel das Neves reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Manuel das Neves didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Mauro Barreto went, in the 20th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Leopoldo Pernambucano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gil Camargo in the 24th minute of the match. Enio Ceresso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Manuel das Neves having to interfere. Manuel das Neves showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mauro Barreto, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. Gil Camargo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Leopoldo Pernambucano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Leopoldo Pernambucano made an important save on a dangerous shot by Oscar Coutinho in the 36th minute. Oscar Coutinhos short, quick shot in the 38thth minute got Leopoldo Pernambucano to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Kléberson Alves fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leopoldo Pernambucano having to interfere. Leopoldo Pernambucano made a fantastic save in the 46th minute, when Oscar Coutinho sent off a good shot on target. After the first half LionHeartsSC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Mauro Barreto to make the kick off. Manuel das Neves came out of the goal in the 51st minute to try and stop a shot by LionHeartsSC's Mauro Barreto. But to his dismay, Mauro Barreto quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. In the 58th minute, Enio Ceresso left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The LionHeartsSC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. Manuel das Neves made a fantastic save in the 65th minute, when Enio Ceresso sent off a good shot on target. 68 minutes into the game, one of LionHeartsSC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. LionHeartsSC:s Leopoldo Pernambucano showed great skill when he stopped Bernardinho Sarmento:s penalty. STAR FC's Gil Camargo got a good chance for a goal in the 71st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Gil Camargo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leopoldo Pernambucano having to interfere. Carlos Augusto Tavares's late challenge caught a STAR FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Carlos Augusto Tavares helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of STAR FC booed when LionHeartsSC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Carlos Augusto Tavares didn't get a good kick on the ball. Leopoldo Pernambucano took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gil Camargo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Leopoldo Pernambucano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gil Camargo in the 95th minute of the match. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. LionHeartsSC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
