Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. Benjamim de Senna received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Almir Xavier tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Wiliam Vidal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Severino Pitta having to interfere. In the 18th minute Geovani das Neves shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Severino Pitta saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Apua's Almir Xavier played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Benjamim de Senna in the 20th minute of play. In the 21st minute, Chicão da Rocha hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 23 minutes into the game, Projeto Papelão FC's André Dionísio nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Almir Xavier made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Severino Pitta made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Geovani das Neves in the 27th minute of play. In the 30th match minute, Apua was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pedro Luiz da Mata to maneuver through the defense. Apua's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Benjamim de Senna 36 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 2-0. The audience thought a goal was coming when André Dionísio got free with Almir Xavier in the 42nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Apua's Wiliam Vidal got a good chance for a goal in the 44th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Severino Pitta showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Geovani das Neves, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. Décio Siqueira's late challenge caught a Apua's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Décio Siqueira helped the player get up and apologised. Décio Siqueira kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Wiliam Vidal made the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Benjamim de Senna in the 55th minute of play forced Apua's goalkeeper Almir Xavier to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Apua booed when Projeto Papelão FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zeca Lopes didn't get a good kick on the ball. Wiliam Vidal struck a weak shot in the 61st minute. Severino Pitta didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Apua.
