After some careless play in the Pantanal defense, Leonel Melo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Valdir Teles. The Pantanal fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Valdir Teles should have stopped the shot. After some fancy dribbling in the 32nd minute, Manuel do Valle managed to get in a good position for a shot. Arantina AD's supporters rose to their feet, but Manuel do Valle was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Valdir Teles breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Valdir Teles showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Leonel Melo, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. In the 39th minute of the match Beto Luz sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Valdir Teles skillfully saved the ball. Renato Recife received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Jeferson Bastos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Valdir Teles took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leonel Melo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 46 minutes into the game, Tales Ferreira was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Pantanal's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Arantina AD the free kick. A collision led to Pantanal getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Tales Ferreira hit a great ball. Pantanal's Valdir Teles played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Téo Mendonça in the 47th minute of play. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The wind increased when Manuel do Valle made the kick off in the second half. Téo Mendonça hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. 55 minutes into the game, Manuel do Valle lined in a short shot 0-2 behind a frustrated Valdir Teles. A collision led to Arantina AD getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Sílvio Dracena hit a great ball. If Manuel do Valle had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Manuel do Valle had several of the Pantanal's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 71 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 0-3 score and a disappointed Valdir Teles as he didn't even see the shot coming. In a very dangerous position, a player in Pantanal fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 74th minute. Penalty! Téo Mendonça shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. Manuel do Valle who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 79thth minute tested the skills of Valdir Teles when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Leonel Melo might have been able to make a better finish in the 80th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Valdir Teles. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Leonel Melo ran back to his position shaking his head. Manuel do Valle fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Valdir Teles having to interfere. Valdir Teles was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Leonel Melo showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-4 in the 84 minute of play. Valdir Teles stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Manuel do Valle's shot from short distance in the 96th minute. Beto Luz took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 99th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Valdir Teles. Pantanal's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. The Pantanal fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Arantina AD were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
