Vito Tande fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Maurício Lopez having to interfere. Maurício Lopez didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Vito Tande went, in the 17th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Linense CA's Maurício Lopez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Percival Souto in the 25th minute of play. Vito Tande struck a weak shot in the 26th minute. Maurício Lopez didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Internacional Limeira. Maurício Lopez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vito Tande in the 30th minute of play. In the 36th minute Nando Cunha suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. Lauro Lucas's late challenge caught a Internacional Limeira's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Lauro Lucas helped the player get up and apologised. Cauan Botelho took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 38th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Maurício Lopez. Linense CA's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Percival Souto in the 40th minute of play forced Linense CA's goalkeeper Maurício Lopez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 42nd minute Internacional Limeira were awarded a corner. Cauan Botelho went to the cornerflag to take it. After a rather tough play, Internacional Limeira's Silvinho Secco got a free kick in the 42nd minute. If Percival Souto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Ciro Pinho came up free with the goalie in the 47th minute, the Internacional Limeira fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ciro Pinho couldn't finish the play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Eduardo Zanette stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Internacional Limeira getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. Silvinho Secco hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Internacional Limeira's zone, Dalmo Guerra stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Naldo Pinheiro came out of the goal and Dalmo Guerra tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 58th minute the ball was on its way in behind Linense CA's goalkeeper Maurício Lopez, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 59 minutes into the match, Internacional Limeira's goal looked a bit too open when Dalmo Guerra came free, but Naldo Pinheiro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Percival Souto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Percival Souto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Maurício Lopez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Linense CA's Maurício Lopez proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 70th minute of the match, managed to save Linense CA from getting a goal against them. Maurício Lopez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vito Tande, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. Linense CA's Maurício Lopez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Percival Souto in the 94th minute of play. Internacional Limeira's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
